About the role: 
As the mechanic, you will be required to perform general repairs and servicing of most makes and models of Australian, European, Japanese & Korean vehicles.
To be successful in this role you will need to have good communication skills, good time management, ability to perform tasks in an efficient manner, display excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, be technically minded and focused with a proven ability to perform tasks.

Duties and responsibilities
Testing and diagnosing faults in vehicles 
Engine Management 
Removing engine, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking and identifying faults
Repair or replace worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and refer manufacture guidelines if required
Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrication to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
Reassembling engines and parts after being replaced or repaired
Test driving of vehicles
Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
Fluently Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
Maintain a clean and orderly workshop at all times
Document all work and job cards  
Ensure all vehicles meet the quality repair standards 
Road worthy certification 
 

Skills and experience

Minimum certificate IV qualification in a related field 

Minimum 2 years of work experience as a fully qualified mechanic

General mechanic repairs and servicing experience 

Understanding of automotive workshop processes

European vehicle experience will be an advantage 

Air conditioning licence will be an advantage 

Australian Drivers licence preferred
