MLA Holdings Pty Ltd, a premier name in the materials handling sector, is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to lead our Brisbane based operation. Based at our new, state-of-the-art facility in Heathwood (commencing April 2025), this role offers an exceptional opportunity to drive growth and success with a passionate team of Service, Rental, and Parts specialists.

 

About the Role

We are looking for a mechanically minded leader with a “safety comes first” approach and operations expertise to enhance Branch performance and expand our customer base. You will play a key role in leading a skilled team, managing profit center responsibilities, and shaping the success of MLA’s Brisbane based branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a committed team across service, spare parts, and rental departments.
  • Drive revenue growth through strong business acumen and new customers.
  • Develop and nurture strong customer relationships with major accounts.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for optimal performance.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service and satisfaction at all levels.

 

Ideal Candidate

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Qualifications with minimum 5 years’ Service or Operations Management experience (Heavy or Automotive Industry).
  • Trade Certification in Heavy Vehicle, Plant or Motor Vehicle (advantage).
  • WHS knowledge & a proven safety culture.
  • Proven profit center responsibility with a track record of achieving exceptional results.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to navigate complex business challenges.
  • Outstanding communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • The ability to manage large customer accounts and drive long-term relationships.
  • Analytical skills to identify and act on business improvement opportunities.
  • Leadership qualities to inspire and guide a growing team toward shared goals.
  • Commitment to continual business improvement and team building.
