The Public Transport Authority (PTA) in Perth, Western Australia, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Advanced Linesperson to join our Network & Infrastructure Division. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining Perth’s world-class electrified rail system.

As an Advanced Linesperson, you will lead the planning, construction, and maintenance of Overhead Line Equipment (OLE), ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency across our network. This role offers an opportunity to be a driving force behind one of Western Australia’s most critical infrastructures through technical ability, leadership, and mentoring of team members.

About You.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Accreditation in Working at Heights, Construction Industry White Card, and Elevated Work Platform.
  • Proven, extensive, expertise in Overhead Line Maintenance, and construction with a deep understanding of 25kV A.C. OLE systems.
  • The ability to read and understand drawings, layout plans and isolation diagrams.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills to effectively lead and motivate your team and ensure operational excellence.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively and achieve goals.
  • Availability for rotational shift work, including nights and weekends.
  • To hold a UET30712 Certificate III in ESI Power Systems Traction Rail or equivalent competencies.
