Panel Beater

Gringo Motors Services Pty Ltd located in Burleigh Heads (4220) and Southport (4215) have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Panelbeater to join our team with relevant Certificate III/IV and 1-2 years of work experience OR 3 years of work experience. 

We are looking for someone to work in our Southport shop, who has good communication with our customers, is punctual and hard work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Assessing the extent of motor vehicle repairs
• Hammering panels to eliminate dents
• Removing impaired panels, parts, upholstery, and accessories to facilitate access
• Substituting severely damaged sections with new or second-hand panels
• Employing mechanical and hydraulic equipment to straighten damaged vehicles and components
• Applying plastic filler to fill depressions, and performing filing, grinding, and sanding forrefined surfaces
• Using welding equipment for cutting and joining replacement sections
• Installing repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and reinstalling body hardware like doorlocks, trims etc
• Collaborating with vehicle body builders in the construction and restoration of custom-designed, vintage, and specialized vehicles
• Accommodating customization requests
• Conducting vehicle spray-painting tasks
• Ensuring compliance to industry specifications and safety standards
• Any other task as required

The annual salary on offer is $70,000 - $80,000 (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications)plus 11.5% superannuation.
