At SMS we are currently seeking an Auto Electrician to join our team for our biggest project in the Pilbara! This is a long-term project and a great opportunity if you want to expand your career.

Roster: 2:1 roster FIFO from Perth, WA
Location: Pilbara WA Region 
Earning Potential: Up to $250k per annum plus superannuation paid on all hours worked + $5,000 Sign on Bonus!!
Full time positions also available.

About the role:
As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and finding electrical faults on SMS fleet of mobile equipment.

• Install and maintain electrical accessories and equipment. Repair or replace faulty ignition, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps and switches. 
• Service, diagnose and repair electrical faults on mobile mining equipment, such as issues with electronic fuel injection, ignition, automatic transmission and airbags.
• Complete breakdown works, general servicing, and component change outs.

What we are looking for:

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate - Automotive Electrician.  
• At minimum, 2 years post trade qualification/ apprenticeship in the mining industry.
• Demonstrable experience working on mobile surface equipment (MEM)
  
• Previous experience on an open cut mine site with diagnostics and repairing mining equipment.
• Experience on Caterpillar, Hitachi and Komatsu Mining Equipment.
• Current Air Conditioning & Refrigeration licence.
• Valid Manual C Class Driver's Licence.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical.
