The Opportunity
Midland Brick is currently accepting expressions of interest for Mechanical Fitter Apprentices in 2025. As an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter you will learn how to install, maintain, repair and test various equipment and machinery and gain experience working in an industrial & manufacturing environment. Your role will incorporate learning the trade in a classroom setting and on-the-job training with our experienced tradespeople.
During the program you will work towards a nationally recognised qualification, whilst receiving on-going support from Supervisors, Tradespeople and Development Advisors to ensure you are set up for success, establishing a long-term career within our business. Our program is designed to give our apprentices the best start to their career, developing a broad skill set across each of our manufacturing plants.
We are looking for committed program participants for the Mechanical Fitter (Fixed Plant) – Certificate III in Engineering
About you
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Basic knowledge and a genuine interest in an apprenticeship
- Good Mechanical and Technical aptitude
- Awareness and commitment to health and safety
- Sound problem solving skills and ability to think outside of the box
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work within a team
- To be self-motivated with a desire and willingness to learn
