Diesel Motor Mechanic – Full Time

We are looking for a motivated and qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel vehicles and machinery. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and passionate about automotive technology.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Identify and diagnose engine and mechanical faults using advanced tools and diagnostic systems.
• Disassemble engine units, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components to inspect and assess condition.
• Repair or replace worn or defective components and reassemble systems, using service manuals and technical diagrams as needed.
• Carry out regular servicing, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to ensure smooth operation and compliance with environmental standards.
• Reassemble repaired engines and mechanical parts with precision and care.
• Test and calibrate components to ensure optimal performance post-repair.
• Use computer diagnostic tools to assess faults and performance issues.
• Inspect vehicles to determine roadworthiness and, if licensed, issue certificates or report required rectifications.

Qualifications & experience

• Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in diesel vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with modern mechanical tools and computer-based diagnostic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
