TransitCare is a not for profit organisation that provides socially inclusive, safe and reliable transport and support services to assist socially isolated people and people with disabilities to live independently in their own homes and participate in their communities. Main services provided are social and medical transport and activities for clients living in the Brisbane South, Logan and Redlands areas. TransitCare is proud of our recent completion of our Reflect Level RAP. We also manage the delivery of similar services in our Townsville, Cairns and Gold Coast branches. Accredited to ISO 14001 & 9001 we are committed to continuous improvement as we strive toward Best Practice in all areas of our operation. 

The role:

We are seeking a part time fleet allocator to join our Beenleigh office team for 3 to 4 days per week.

Allocators are responsible for multitasking effectively with a very low margin for error, including:

• Allocation of drivers and appropriate vehicles to meet on demand pick up calls as they are received 

• Rescheduling and rebalancing driver loads in response to unplanned events

• Liaising with contact centre consultants, health facilities, and allied transport services

 The person:

• Able to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment

• Excellent planning and problem solving skills, good sense of judgment and ability to prioritise effectively

• Excellent listening and communication skills

• Good map reading skills and ability to use GPS devices to review routes for the movement of the drivers is very important

• Experience in operation of vehicle navigation and tracking systems and computer aided dispatch software preferred

• Experience in high volume allocation

• Must have or be able to attain a Blue Card, Yellow Card and Federal Police Check
