About us:

JAS Oceania is a major national wholesaler of Automotive Rotating Electrical, Air-Conditioning, Accessories and Lighting products.

JAS is a part of the automotive aftermarket industry and specifically focuses on servicing the Auto Electrical sector.

JAS Branches typically have a Branch Manager, Phone / Counter Salesperson, Customer Account Manager and Store person/delivery driver.

 

About the role:

The Branch Managers role is to oversee all branch activities, maintain customer accounts, including all sales and administrative duties, credit and warranty processing and warehouse safety with the main objective of meeting or exceeding branch monthly sales budgets and managing gross profit/margin.

The Branch Manager is responsible for the profitability and financial management of each branch. This requires leadership and coaching of all branch employees, including action when targets are not achieved and correcting under performance or employee behaviour which is inconsistent with JAS values and expectations. 

Branch Managers take the leadership role in promoting JAS programs and actions, getting all employees on board and achieving the results required for their branch. 

 

Skills and experience

  • Experience in Automotive Aftermarket Sales
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An ability to work with and manage a team to meet KPI’s
  • Management / Team Leader skills are essential
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Well presented
  • Automotive electrical parts sales, mechanical or workshop experience would be an advantage.
  • Current full driver license

 

Roles and responsibilities

  • Health and Safety

  • Take responsibility for personal safety and safety of others by following safe work practices and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and knowledge of procedures and safety education is current
  • Report to work fit for duty, and not affected by alcohol, drugs, medication or other harmful substances
  • Participate in safety programs and improvements
  • Report injuries, safety incidents and hazards immediately
  • Follow company policies and procedures at all times.

 

Revenue and Budget

  • Ensuring branch targets are met or exceeded along with gross margin/profit
  • Monitoring pricing through both phone sales and rep sales
  • Monitoring and managing Inventory for optimum line fill and stock turns

 

Employee Management

  • Ensuring the company’s code of conduct and values are upheld by all team members
  • Monitoring staff performance and providing feedback and supervision when necessary

 

Sales, Service & Warehouse

  • Create foster and maintain excellent customer relationships
  • Creating a safe work environment for all branch team members
  • Ensuring customer invoices are completed correctly & promptly including credits and warranties
  • Keeping all staff members and customers up to date with current specials, promos and product releases
  • Keeping up to date with industry Technology and trends
  • Ensuring staff utilize all technology and facilities to best advantage branch profitability.
