About the role

Shepparton Garage Doors (A division of SENIOR Steel) is seeking a skilled and experienced Garage Door Technician to join our team in Shepparton, Victoria. This is a full-time position responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial garage doors across the local area. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients' garage doors operate safely and reliably.

What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on a variety of garage door systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with garage door motors, springs, cables, and other components
• Install new garage door units and related accessories to customer specifications
• Provide exceptional customer service, communicating with clients to understand their needs and concerns
• Maintain accurate records of all service calls, parts used, and work completed
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient scheduling and timely completion of jobs
• Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Garage Door Technician or similar role
• Demonstrated expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial garage door systems
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve issues
• Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Reliable, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Current driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle
• Ability to work at heights and lift heavy equipment as required
