Manual Machinist

Inflatable Packers Int. Pty Ltd (IPI) is an Australian Perth based company established in 1999 specialising in design and manufacture of inflatable packers and associated equipment, located in new purpose built premises in Bayswater, WA.

Manual Machinist - we are seeking a motivated Manual Machinist with the following experience for a full time position Mon-Fri plus potential for overtime.

Main responsibilities will include:

•  Machining parts to specification using machine tools including lathes up to 5m and milling machines. 
• Using fixed and travelling steadies, work holding devices e.g. 3 & 4 jaw chucks, turning between centres and screw cutting (stub acme and v threads)
• Producing components from drawings, machining to tight tolerances and surface finishing specifications.
• Machining different form types e.g. round billet, casing and hollow bar
• Machining various materials e.g. steel 4140, stainless duplex, inconel and acetal
• Ability to select correct tools for required work.

 About You:

• Australian Permanent Residency.   
• Minimum 5 years trade experience.
• High regard for safety in the workplace.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Read & Understand engineering drawings.
• Reliable & dependable.   
• Good communication skills.   
• Forklift ticket preferred but not essential.
