Grounds Keeper

HERITAGE ACRES - CURRUMBIN VALLEY, SOUTH EAST QLD.

Heritage Acres, a picturesque 200-acre tree farm located in Currumbin Valley, South East QLD, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Grounds Keeper to join our team.
As the Grounds Keeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the lush and vibrant environment of our tree farm. Your responsibilities will encompass lawn maintenance in our botanical gardens & tree nursery covering approximately 20 acres of grounds. The position is part time, 4 days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

• The pristine appearance of the farm by regularly mowing, pruning, and whipper snipping grass areas to maintain manicured lawns, walkways & roads.
• The second aspect is the eradication of Giant Devils Fig, this is a invasive plant in our area.
• Assist with team projects as required: palm pruning, re-potting plants & tree collection, debris cleanup & composting.
• Experience using zero turn mowers is essential. Experience with kubota tractor, skid steer loader, finishing slasher highly regarded however training can be provided.
• Meticulous attention to detail is essential.
• All tools, machines, PPE are provided by the farm.
• A strong background in horticulture, regenerative agriculture or permaculture.

Farm hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30am. The role is 32 hours per week.
