Excavator Operators (Northern Suburbs)

Experienced GPS Excavator Operators

JDM Earthworks is an excavation/civil contractor that has been operating across Melbourne for 30 years.

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated excavator operators to join our team.

The ideal applicant will have:

• At least 3 years land development, subdivision and roadwork/infrastructure experience operating bulldozers

• Working with trucks 

• Must have Experience in GPS

• Drainage experience would be an advantage

• Must have good eye for detail

• Must be able to finish work to a high level

• Construction induction card (White/red card) 

• Relevant plant licenses

• Current Australian driver’s license and personal transport

• A can-do attitude, correct work ethic and reliability 

• Experience on other plant is preferable

• Have a basic mechanical understanding of relevant mobile plant

• Full-time position starting on a 3 month probation period

The positions task and responsibilities will include:

• Operating earth moving equipment on various projects around Melbourne including subdivisions, drainage, road/infrastructure and bulk earthworks 

• Final trim quality with a good eye for detail and be able to finish work to a high level

• Working safely as part of a team and/or individually

• Reporting to management daily

• Meeting project timelines

• Completing Daily Pre-Start checks

• Keeping machines in top condition and well-greased
