The Position:
ASCOT GROUP are looking for a Trade Assistant (Carpentry) to join our growing team.
This role is permanent full time and will work alongside our Supervisors/Carpenters to effectively carry out general construction works and basic carpentry duties in our Retirement Living Division. This role requires frequent travel from varying project sites during any given day travelling to our sites around metro and outer metro Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform basic carpentry tasks including hanging doors, installing door hardware, skirting boards, and architraves.
Conduct minor internal wall framing and caulking.
Handle manual tasks such as moving plasterboard, tiles, and plumbing materials.
Assist with waterproofing (training can be provided) and pressure cleaning.
Understand and interpret basic floor plans and scope of works.
Manage time efficiently while working on multiple small projects simultaneously.
Bring and use appropriate work tools correctly and safely at all times.
Assist the Site Supervisor/Carpenter with various tasks as instructed.
Work both under instruction and autonomously.
Use stock and assets in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
What we are looking for:
Carpentry Trade Assistant experience in Residential and/or commercial environments
Hard working and can-do attitude
Polite and well presented
Hold a current VIC Licence or equivalent (mandatory)
In possession of Trade appropriate vehicle and tools
Industry White Card
