About the role

Fuel Services Australia is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our team in our Pinkenba, Queensland facility. This full-time role will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of fuel tankers,pressure vessels, pipework and other metal structures. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance and manufacturing of fuel transfer equipment.

What you'll be doing

1. Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work orders to fabricate, install, maintain fuel transfer equipment , pressure vessels and other metal structures

2. Operate various power tools, hand tools and welding equipment to assemble, join and repair metal components

3. Inspect and test completed work to ensure it meets safety and quality standards

4. Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot issues with tanks and pressure vessels

5. Liaise with engineering, operations and management teams to coordinate projects and resolve technical problems

6. Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts/materials used

7. Ensure a safe work environment by following all health and safety procedures

What we're looking for

1. Qualified Boilermaker with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar industrial environment

2. Extensive knowledge of boiler, pressure vessel and pipework fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair

3. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics and work orders

4. Skilled in TIG and MIG welding techniques

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality work within deadlines

6. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

7. Excellent communication and documentation skills

8. Current driver's licence and forklift certification preferred
