About the role

BAKER of THINGS is seeking an experienced Baker to help lead our team. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to grow in a business based on excellence and joy. As a leading baker in our team, you will play a key role in producing high-quality sourdough bread. Start times for this role vary from 4am to 5am.

 

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and baking a range of sourdough breads, according to recipes and production schedules

• Collaborating to create new items for our menu and specials

• Working with naturally leavened doughs

• Maintaining starter

• Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards throughout the baking process

• Assisting with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies

• Working with the team to identify opportunities for process improvements

 

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a sourdough Baker

• Leadership/management experience essential

• A strong understanding of mixing, hand shaping and baking

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment at times autonomously

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for commercial baking

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely

• Positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding customer service

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
