An attractive remuneration package between $75,000 and $99,999 will be provided, commensurate with experience. 


Task & responsibilities

  • Identifying and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in engines and related components
  • Repairing or replacing damaged or worn components and reassembling mechanical systems
  • Conducting routine services and maintenance tasks
  • Disassembling and removing engine systems, transmissions, steering assemblies, and other parts for inspection
  • Reassembling engines and components following repairs
  • Testing vehicles and mechanical systems post-repair to ensure optimal functionality
  • Using diagnostic tooling to diagnose issues and determine faults.
  • Carry out roadworthy testing and issue repairs required or roadworthy certificates.
  • May attend vehicle breakdowns and service calls offsite.

Qualification & experience

  • Must possess industry level certification to operate as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic in relevant state, territory or jurisdiction - AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
  • Experience in all above responsibilities.
  • Developed knowledge of the automotive industry
  • Ability to work productively in an autonomous environment
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Highly motivated
  • Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task where required
  • Ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit
  • Guest Service focused
  • A friendly and approachable personality

*The successful applicant will be required to undertake and provide a satisfactory National Police Check.
