• Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic, preferably in a similar automotive workshop environment
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers and provide clear explanations of issues and recommended solutions
• A commitment to workplace safety and a willingness to stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices

Task & responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, including engines, transmissions, suspensions, steering, and brakes.
• Perform general service on petrol as well as diesel engines as per company standards and directly communicate with customers related to vehicle issues.
• Inspect and identify faults in internal components like gearbox, bearing, shaft, and parts replacement to restore system performance as per manufacturer standards.
• Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.
• Test and calibrate mechanical components to achieve the required performance standards.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical faults.
• Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and quality.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory and stocks at the workshop.

Qualification & experience

• Must have a Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• Seeking a Motor Mechanic with at least 1 to 3 years' experience.
• Must have experience in inspecting and repairing the mechanical components of a gearbox and supercooling systems.
• Valid Victorian Driver's License (Preferred)
