DUTIES WILL INCLUDE

Diagnostic Expertise: Proficient in using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify automotive issues

Mechanical Repairs & Maintenance: Capable of performing repairs, replacements, and routine maintenance on vehicles.

Electrical Systems: Skilled in working with electrical wiring, circuits, and components.

Engine Rebuilding: Experience with engine repairs, ranging from top-end jobs to full overhauls.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and services for customer and regulatory purposes.

Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, explaining repairs, providing estimates, and ensuring satisfaction.

Jump-starting: Proficient in jump-starting vehicles.

Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough vehicle safety inspections.

 

APPRENTICESHIP INFORMATION

During the duration of the apprenticeship (48-months) you will be working full-time (38 hours per week), Monday to Friday learning all the skills of the trade within the working environment. 

You and will attend TAFE one day per week for three years, where you will learn theory and practical areas within the trade to gain a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and be a qualified tradesperson at the completion of your apprenticeship.

Mechanical Aptitude: You should have a natural curiosity and interest in how things work, especially automobiles.

Dexterity: Nimble hands and steady fingers for precise work.

Communication Skills: Effective communication with customers and team members is vital.

Follow WHS Procedures: Ability to perform all tasks within safety guidelines and practices 

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS 

• Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen

• Drivers Licence and Vehicle is required

• Experience with mechanics, cars and basic hand tools

• Not have any previous qualifications exceeding a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
