About the Role
GCE Contractors is currently seeking an experienced Civil Pipelayer to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for installing underground stormwater, sewer, and water infrastructure across subdivision and commercial projects throughout the  Brisbane area.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering quality civil outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Install stormwater mains, pits, and manholes

• Carry out utility connection works including new water mains, meters, and sewer property connections

• Work with a range of pipe materials including RCP, PVC, and HDPE

• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications

• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Civil Pipelayer or in a similar civil construction role

• Knowledge of pipe laying techniques across various materials

• Ability to understand and follow engineering drawings

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

• White Card and relevant civil construction tickets (e.g., trenching, confined space, RIW tickets)

• Excavator experience or tickets highly regarded

• Strong safety mindset and team-oriented attitude
