We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Cleaners to join our team at the Port of Brisbane Cruise Terminal | Seasonal Casual Roles✨

📍 Pinkenba | 🚗 Must have own transport | 🧼 Light Cleaning Only | 🛳 Cruise Ship Season

About the role

CMBM Facility Services is seeking Casual Event Cleaning Staff to join our team at the Port of Brisbane Cruise Terminal. These roles are perfect for reliable, customer-friendly individuals who enjoy working in fast-paced environments and want to be part of the exciting cruise ship season.

Key Duties:

Light event cleaning – wiping surfaces, tidying public area
Dry mopping small spills, occasional biohazard clean-ups (training & kits provided)
Using radio to communicate with site supervisors
Interacting politely with cruise passengers – customer service focus

🕓 Seasonal Workload & Shifts

Seasonal Availability:

October–April: Approx. 5 shifts per week (30+ hrs)
May–September: Approx. 5 shifts per month

Shift Times:

Morning: 5:00am – 11:00am
Afternoon: 11:00am – 5:00pm

💡 Must be flexible and available for both shift types, including weekends

Pay Rates (Casual Level 1)

Early Start (5am): $36.19 (first hour), then $32.31/hr (Mon–Fri)
Standard Day Rate (Mon–Fri): $32.31/hr
Saturday: $45.24/hr
Sunday: $58.16/hr

Start Date & Onboarding

We are onboarding now and would love to get you started early to become familiar with the site ahead of the cruise season. Even 1 shift per fortnight between now and October is ideal.

Uniform provided
No vacuuming or heavy lifting required
Approx. 4–6 new staff needed
Full training provided on-site

About You

Well spoken English
Reliable and flexible with early starts and weekend work
Friendly and approachable – cruise passengers may ask for directions or assistance
Must have car and licence – site is at Pinkenba
Comfortable with light cleaning duties and team-based environments
Prior cruise experience or maturity preferred (great for couples too!)

Requirements

Please note that the clearance process will take approx. 2.5 weeks
Police Check (at own cost)
Ability to complete required site inductions
Willing to apply for a Marine Security Identification Card (MSIC) – we’ll guide you through this
