Join a growing heavy-vehicle repair workshop with modern facilities in Narangba and Caboolture, QLD. Working full-time, you’ll diagnose, service and overhaul North American, Japanese and European trucks, trailers and mobile plant for customers across Brisbane’s northern corridor.

The role offers a competitive rate that is reviewed annually; the current range is $41–$55 per hour plus super, which equates to $81,016–$108,680 per year based on a 38-hour week, with superannuation paid on top.

Task & responsibilities

· Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and braking systems

· Dismantle, repair and re-assemble engines, gearboxes, drivelines and related components

· Perform scheduled maintenance, oil changes, tune-ups and roadworthy/COI inspections

· Test, adjust and calibrate repaired components to factory specifications

· Respond to breakdown call-outs to minimise client downtime

· Manufacture and fit hydraulic hoses and ancillary equipment when required

· Maintain digital job cards, follow WHS procedures and keep the work area safe and tidy

Qualification & experience

Trade qualification: AQF Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent overseas trade certificate
Minimum three (3) years’ full-time, post-trade diesel-mechanic experience (five years preferred)
Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and electronic service manuals
Sound computer skills for digital job cards and parts catalogues
Commitment to safe work practices, quality workmanship and customer service
HR licence and hydraulic-hose manufacturing experience (highly regarded)
