Task & responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in engines, transmissions, suspension, steering systems, and brakes.

Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups to ensure optimal vehicle performance.

Dismantle and reassemble engine assemblies and other vehicle components using service manuals.

Conduct performance tests and adjust mechanical parts after repairs.

Use diagnostic tools and computer systems to identify faults.

Ensure compliance with environmental and pollution control regulations.

Maintain accurate service and repair records.

Qualification & experience

Qualification: AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).

Experience: Minimum of 1 years relevant work experience OR equivalent combination of training and experience.

Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Familiarity with mechanical tools and computerized diagnostic systems.

Current driver’s license.

Registration or licensing may be required.
