The Role
We have an exciting permanent full-time position available to join our Automotive Educational Delivery team at TAFE Queensland’s Acacia Ridge Campus.
As a TAFE Teacher in Automotive, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your extensive industry knowledge to students in a classroom or other educational setting.
This position reports to the relevant Business Manager.

Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must possess AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent) or AUR31316 Certificate III in Automotive Engine Reconditioning (or equivalent) or AUR30320 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent);
• current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
• current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
• evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;
Additionally, to become a TAFE Queensland teacher you must hold, or be willing to obtain, a qualification in adult education. Primarily this qualification is TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent.
Please note applicants need not necessarily possess teaching experience, as the right candidate may be trained and developed through coaching, mentoring and partnering. Importance is placed on possession of the appropriate qualifications, industry experience and the right attitude.
