KEY DETAILS Start Date: Immediate Location: FIFO from Australian Capital Cities Work Type: Casual Hours: 12hr Day/Night Shifts THE ROLE Install and align piping packages, including - spools, flanges, valves and supports Fit pipe joints accurately, ensuring correct alignment and orientation Torque and tension flanged joints using approved methods and calibrated tooling Assist with hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of pipelines Read and follow isometric drawings, P&IDs and layout plans Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery Liaise with QA/QC and ensure work is conducted to the highest standard Identify and report faults, non-conformance, equipment damage and safety hazards Conduct JHAs and take part in daily pre-start meetings REQUIRMENTS Current Flange Management Qualification Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry Trade Certificate Driver’s License Safety is crucial to what we do, a proactive approach to housekeeping, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team is key. With a base in Young, NSW, you’ll work in a well-equipped workshop and have the option to head to client sites across NSW & VIC. No two jobs are the same — think large-scale fabrication, install work, and mechanical maintenance on custom-built bulk storage and handling gear. To be considered for this position, you must: Be able to work as a team and independently. Strong MIG/TIG welding & fabrication skills are desirable. Learn about welding, forming, splicing, fitting steel plates, bearing inspections, replacing parts, and install work (load bellows, screw conveyors, etc.) Have experience in assembly work, putting parts together, and making sure they fit correctly (any industry). Reading instructions and reviewing dimensions from diagrams, blueprints, and sketches.
