The Hedge Man is Adelaide's oldest gardening company. We began life many decades ago as a dedicated specialist hedging service which has grown to now offer full landscaping and gardening services to residential clients, private estates and discerning businesses. We do not do rinse and repeat commercial work. As one of Adelaide’s leading green space companies and (still) Adelaide's premier hedge specialist, we are looking to grow our team to help look after some of the most prestigious properties in South Australia.
Whilst most gardening and landscaping companies are driven by pure profit and thus pressure workers to complete work quickly and mechanically, The Hedge Man instead takes longer on each job, we use products and techniques catered to that client's personal preferences and we ensure that the properties are left immaculate. Our objective is to ensure client satisfaction each and every time and in so doing, to encourage clients in their horticultural interests and to value quality. We want to help our clients better understand that gardens are a living environment that respond to nutrition, light, water and all the multitude of elements that not only help plants survive, but to thrive.
You will enjoy working at The Hedge Man for many reasons:
A team-based environment where we are all part of the THM family, whilst day to day you will work in teams of 2-3 we regularly all get together for training, tool box, equipment maintenance or simply just to say hi.
We recognise that you are not a number but a person, who has a family and personal commitments and, just like the rest of us, is doing your best to balance work / life. We offer the ability to work extra hours, less hours and even to buy more annual leave.
Ongoing coaching and training to help you develop and polish your skills, encouraging you to adopt a specialisation and financially supporting you to obtain qualifications and expertise.
Our wages are significantly above Award. Starting at $66,000, each and every pay cycle we pay additional wages for qualifications, skills sets, leadership responsibilities and commission bonuses.
