Recent investment in CNC production equipment has ensured that Joinery Services has the capability to undertake complex and detailed projects across the entire Kitchen and solid timber markets.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the General Manager will lead Joinery Services, overseeing production, project delivery, financial performance, team capability and client relationships. You will drive the strategic growth of the business, while ensuring continued delivery of safe, high-quality and timely projects. Engagement with other Imatech Tasmanian businesses will be key to identifying opportunities to maximise growth and Group financial returns. This position is Hobart-based. About You

We are looking for a commercially minded and hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to take the business into its next stage of growth. Operationally, you will bring experience in transformational environments, which coupled with strong operational experience and sound commercial judgment will drive innovation across the business leading to a positive financial impact. Importantly, the ability to lead, scale and develop a team’s capability, while working with individuals to ensure their development and success will be key to the role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of Joinery projects across Tasmania

·         Build capability across the team to support growth and efficiency

·         Drive business development and strengthen client partnerships

·         Oversee scheduling, production, procurement and site delivery

·         Manage divisional budgets, reporting and profitability targets

·         Develop and embed scalable systems and continuous improvement initiatives

·         Champion a strong safety and performance culture across the business

Skills & Experience:

·         Proven leadership experience in Joinery or related Manufacturing/Construction Industry

·         Strong commercial acumen, including full P&L responsibility

·         Demonstrated success in driving operational efficiency and business growth

·         Excellent people leadership and communication skills

·         Trade background or hands-on understanding of Joinery preferred

·         Tertiary qualifications in construction, business, or a relevant field (desirable)
