Hansen's Automotive & Gas in Toowoomba, Queensland is looking for a skilled and passionate Light Vehicle Mechanic/Auto Technician to join our team full time. In this hands-on role, you'll play a key part in keeping our customers' vehicles running safely and efficiently. Your expertise in vehicle maintenance and repairs will help us continue delivering the high-quality service that our workshop is known for.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, brakes, electrical and suspension problems
• Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, tune-ups, and tyre rotations
• Conduct vehicle inspections and provide recommendations for necessary repairs or services
• Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve complex mechanical problems
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients

What we're looking for

• Australian recognised Light Vehicle Mechanic Trade Qualification
• Australian Driver's license
• Be able to supply your own tools
• Proven experience with vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs and fault diagnostics across a variety of vehicle types
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
• A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to providing high-quality work
• Unlimited Australian work rights - no restrictions
• A Safety Certificate Licence would be an advantage, but not required
• Provide 2 work related referees

This position will initially be subject to a 3 month probationary period. Wages negotiable on right candidate.
