About the role
Enerven are looking for experienced Trade Assistants, or what we call General Skilled Workers, on a 12-month contract to be a key part in our Transmission Construction Delivery team in the construction and maintenance transmission lines.
You will work alongside experienced Transmission Linesmen and other experienced personnel to ensure a high quality of output and a safe working environment. You will need a high level of safety awareness, ability to take and follow instruction and work in a team environment and be familiar with: use of power tools, operate small to large equipment, operate HR vehicles, Dogging/ Rigging.
A portion of the annual workload will involve working on project sites across South Australia, operating on either an 11:3 or 10:4 roster, depending on the specific project. All overtime is paid at double time and travel allowances are provided.
About you
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who possesses a strong can-do attitude and demonstrates initiative in all aspects of their work. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the trade or civil industry, bringing practical experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This individual should be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of tasks, and effectively contributing to team goals. A passion for continuous learning and improvement, combined with a hands-on approach to tackling challenges, will be key to succeeding in this role.
Specific qualifications and experience required include:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Current SA drivers’ licence minimum, unrestricted HR or higher class would be preferred
- Not essential; having a High Risk licence would be beneficial in: WAH, DG, RB/ RI/ RA, EWP, CN (or C6 preferred), Forklift, Telehandler
- A white card is mandatory
- First Aid with CPR is desirable
- Computer literate
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- A can-do attitude with a strong emphasis on Health and Safety
