Qualifications & Experience

• DBYD Certified Locator or willingness to complete the assessment (training provided)

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role

• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)

• Western Power Network Induction (preferred)

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record

• White Card

• ATCO Approved Locator (preferred)

• APA Permit Issue Officer (beneficial)

• Ground Penetrating Radar Training (preferred)

• Confined Spaces and Gas Atmosphere Training (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

Uphold Abaxa’s "Safety First Culture" through meticulous planning, risk assessment, and proactive communication.

Consult with clients on project requirements, work plans, and risk management.

Deliver strikeless jobs with comprehensive risk assessments and client handovers.

Engage in monthly HSE Toolbox sessions, workshops, and training programs.

Plan and supervise survey projects, from inception to delivery, for a diverse range of clients to project specifications, including estimation approval.

Collaborate with client project staff to deliver high standards of service delivery in accordance with the scope of works.

Maintain the survey and design equipment and software including AutoCAD and 12D.

Undertake investigative, non-destructive surveys and conduct paperwork in accordance with company procedures and QA controls.

Create to client standards and specifications maps and reports of survey results.

Undertake field surveys using accepted techniques associated with good surveying practice.
