About the Role:
Best WEST TYRE & SERVICES is seeking a skilled and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our team. In this full-time role (Minimum 38 hours/ per week), you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of vehicles to ensure optimal performance. If you are a passionate motor mechanic with excellent diagnostic skills, we encourage you to apply!

Task & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts
Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components; check and assess parts
Repair and replace worn or defective parts, and reassemble mechanical components, referring to service manuals as needed
Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to improve vehicle performance and comply with pollution regulations
Reassemble engines and parts after repairs
Test and adjust mechanical parts post-repair to ensure proper performance
Use diagnostic tools and computers to assess and test parts
Inspect vehicles, issue roadworthiness certificates, or detail required repairs to ensure compliance with road safety standards

Qualification & Experience

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a motor mechanic
Strong knowledge of vehicle engines, systems, and components
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and computers
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Minimum 2 years of experience
