Hourly Range: $35 - $45 (depending on experience)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinetmaker to join our busy team. This is an exciting opportunity to work full time in a creative and dynamic environment!
Position Overview
As a Cabinetmaker at DNA Furniture & Cabinetry, you will be responsible for crafting and assembling custom cabinetry and furniture, ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. You will also install cabinetry in various settings, including kitchens, bathrooms and commercial spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut and assemble wood and substitute components.
- Install cabinetry in kitchens, bathrooms and commercial fit-outs.
- Examine drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine the specifications and materials required.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools with precision.
- Apply protective coatings and finishes to cabinets.
- Fit hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves and other hardware to completed cabinetry.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring workplace safety at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members and contribute to achieving project deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cabinetmaker or relevant experience in woodwork/joinery.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with woodworking machines, hand tools and finishing equipment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of the team.
- Physical stamina to handle to demand of the project, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- CNC experience preferred.
- Valid drivers licence
