WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

We seek expressions of interest from male and female Security Officers who are reliable and keen to learn, whether experienced or not, to join our Darwin-based team.  Older persons and those with extensive life experience in hospitality, retail, customer service, etc. are encouraged to apply. No hotel or nightclub work. These positions in different areas of our operations are full-time hours, with immediate start available.

• Ensure the safety and security of facilities and all persons within and around the workplace.

• Accountable for working to standards as an individual and as part of a team.

• Provide courteous, professional and efficient customer service

• Conduct x-ray screening, using metal detectors and searching

• Perform security patrols both internally and externally

• Engage in conflict resolution and negotiation

• Manage access control systems

• Direct and escort visitors on site as required

• Write detailed and accurate reports

• Assist in any emergencies or evacuations

• Maintain confidentiality and Need-to-Know principles

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Current dual NT Security/Crowd Control Licence

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Current Ochre Card or prepared to apply/obtain within 1 week

• Current White Card or prepared to apply/obtain within 1 week

• NT Driver's Licence or Reliable Transport

• The ability to drive a manual vehicle is highly desirable

• Previous screening experience/qualifications are highly desirable

• Strong observational skills and attention to detail

• MUST HAVE evidence of Unrestricted Work Rights in Australia (students need not apply)

• High level of integrity and reliability

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (must be able to speak, write and understand English clearly & proficiently)

• Ability to react to or engage effectively under pressure in conflict situations, calmly and confidently

• Demonstrate strong professional, courteous customer service skills

• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate in a small team environment

• Well-groomed and professionally presented
