About the role

You will report to the WHSEQ Manager, and your primary responsibilities will involve assisting in providing partnership support to the organisation in managing WHSEQ risks, developing strategies, and achieving the goals of Rema Tip Top Industrie.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the WHSEQ Manager in providing WHSEQ leadership to the organisation and develop National WHSEQ strategies across operations around Australia.
• Development of robust systems and processes to manage WHSEQ risks across the business and ensure legislative compliance.
• Development and maintenance of the site WHSEQ risk and governance verification processes (inclusive of risk registers, statutory compliance, and verification checks, WHSEQ process checks etc).
• Liaise with clients to ensure WHSEQ compliance and continued improvement across customer sites.
• Responding to clients re: WHSEQ queries
• Involvement in the development of site specific safety management plans
• Support RTT leadership in the application of WHSEQ systems and processes.
• Support RTT leadership in the communication and consultation processes for WHSEQ.
• Ongoing education of RTT leadership on HSEQ and risk management.
• Visual based safety leadership in the field and coaching of site supervision.
• Support RTT leadership in ensuring allocation of appropriate WHSEQ resources for incident investigations (internal and external).

About You:

• Tertiary Qualifications in WHS or equivalent skills acquired through previous roles (a minimum of Diploma in WHS).
• Audit qualifications.
• ICAM lead investigator / Other Root Cause investigation technique.
• 5+ years? experience in WHS, ideally within the mining/heavy industrial service industry.
• Communication - Ability to engage with the workforce clearly and concisely at all levels to deliver the desired WHSEQR messaging, including sometimes having the tough conversations
• Knowledge of the relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice and any other applicable standards of the industry
• Willingness to travel regularly in line with operational requirements, with the majority of travel in WA, but also to our operations across the country.
