Task & responsibilities

• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services on a wide variety of vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using modern diagnostic equipment
• Repair or replace worn and defective parts such as brake pads, shock absorbers, exhaust systems, and engine components
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections and safety checks
• Service and repair engines, transmissions, suspension, and steering systems
• Perform tyre fitting, balancing, and puncture repairs
• Test drive vehicles to assess performance and verify repairs
• Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer and safety standards
• Maintain accurate service records and job cards
• Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with WHS standards
• Communicate clearly with customers and the team regarding diagnostics, repair timelines, and recommendations
• Follow all company policies and uphold a high standard of workmanship and professionalism

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent (required)
• Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis (desirable)
• Diploma of Automotive Technology (highly regarded)
• Successful skills assessment as a Motor Mechanic
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in a workshop environment
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Manual driver’s licence
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• A positive attitude, reliability, and pride in your work
