We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of diesel vehicles and components.

Task & responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults in engines and related systems.
• Dismantle engine assemblies, steering units, transmissions, and related components for assessment.
• Carry out repair and replacement of defective parts, referencing technical manuals where necessary.
• Reassemble mechanical systems after servicing, ensuring all components function correctly.
• Conduct routine servicing tasks including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tuning.
• Test and fine-tune mechanical systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Use computerized diagnostic tools to assess parts and performance issues.
• Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and prepare reports or lists of necessary rectifications.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or a relevant qualification. 
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and associated systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license (heavy vehicle license advantageous).
