Task & Responsibilities

• Maintain, test, and repair petrol engines and mechanical parts of lightweight motor vehicles, including transmissions, suspension, steering, and brakes.
• Conduct thorough inspections to diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools, computers, and test drives.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, brake repairs, and fluid checks.
• Replace and repair essential vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, suspensions, and steering systems.
• Test repaired vehicles to ensure proper functionality, alignment, brakes, and fluid levels meet safety standards.
• Ensure vehicles comply with safety and pollution standards through comprehensive servicing.
• Replace damaged or worn-out parts, including tires, batteries, and belts.
• Perform logbook services, issue roadworthy certificates, and explain vehicle issues and repair processes to customers.
• Maintain accurate service records, including parts used and vehicle history.
• Regularly calibrate and maintain tools and diagnostic equipment for optimal performance.
• Stay updated on new automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry standards.
